Welcome to the GNSHS PTO

The Great Neck South High School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) serves as an advocate for the education and general welfare of students attending Great Neck South High School (GNSHS). We foster communication and cooperation among the faculty, administration, students, parents and alumni of GNSHS. Our PTO encourages parent involvement in activities to support GNSHS while promoting and celebrating the diversity of the GNSHS community.

PAY $25 PTO DUES:
What does the PTSA do with the dues that we collect? Money is used:
  • for guest speakers who require speaking fees
  • to help fund Homecoming events
  • to buy things that the school needs that are not funded by the school budget
  • for scholarship funds and Senior Awards 
  • for two staff breakfasts (a way to say “thank you”)
  • for an alumni breakfast during the school year
STAFF LUNCHEON DONATION (any amount is appreciated):
The PTSA hosts a Staff Luncheon every year to show our appreciation to administration, teachers and staff. The Luncheon is funded by your donations and run by parent volunteers. Read more.
FOR PARENTS OF 12th GRADERS ONLY:
Pay $60 Senior Event Dues
Your Senior Event Dues go directly to Senior Event, which is a special year-end event for all Seniors that is organized and paid for by parents of 12th graders. It is not run by the PTSA.
