BI-LINGUAL TRANSLATION (year-round): Assist with document and/or live translation for non-English speaking families.
FUNDRAISING (year-round): Assist with efforts to raise funds to support PTO activities and the enhancement of the academic, cultural and social activities at GNSHS.
PHOTO DAY (Sep/Oct): Help at school during photo days in September.
SHARED DECISION MAKING COMMITTEE: Every school in the Great Neck Public School District has a New York State mandated Shared Decision Making Committee.The Committee offers a unique opportunity for parents, teachers, administrators and students to work collaboratively to achieve goals that will improve the educational performance of all students. STAFF RECOGNITION LUNCHEON (Jan): Parents plan, order, decorate for a luncheon in the cafeteria to thank our faculty and staff.
SENIOR EVENT: Parents plan, order, decorate for a year-end party for 12th graders.

UPTC: United Parent Teacher Council (“UPTC”) offers parents of the Great Neck Public School District the opportunity to work with teachers and school administration on issues affecting the education and welfare of their students. The UPTC serves as a coordinating body for all of the PTAs in order to identify common interests and achieve shared goals. READ MORE.
SEPTA C.H.I.L.D.: A Special Education PTA organization whose members include parents, caregivers, teachers and therapists of students with special needs as well as other staff and members of the Great Neck School community. We aim to facilitate an open forum for communicating the needs, and desires of those who come into contact with identified students.
